Oh, you thought you we’re going  to find a magnificent portfolio of oil paintings and life-size sculptures, didn’t you?  Yeah, sorry about that.

Here’s the thing, I am no afficianado of fine art.  I just happen to think that art is life and therefore art is everywhere.  From the gracefully  arching eyelashes of your grocery store checkout woman to the delicately drawn lines along a catepillar’s back, there is beauty.

Sometimes I like to intentionally contribute in my own way.  Usually it’s something I painted that’s for kids and sometimes it’s art made from the innocent imagination of a child (specifically, one of my own).

“The Colors of the Rainbow”
An original watercolor painting by Caleb Jans (2.5 years old)

The peice pictured here was painted by my 2.5 year old Caleb and I’ll be derned if it isn’t just as beautiful as anything hanging in a gallery.  This priceless piece happens to be hanging in our living room.
