Simple as a Song written by Wendy Jans
I've been trying to write a song just for you but I can't wrap it all up in a catchy tune, too much to say, oh it'd be way too long. There's nothing I could say that's simple as a song. Every passing day, deeper & deeper, the layers change.
There's so much about you that's a song I could to sing to
& I just don't want to get it wrong
'Cuz I might understate it, oh it's so complicated
You're just the place I belong
Oh but it ain't as simple as a song
No it's never as simple as a song
Oh it ain't as simple as a song
How could I take all this & try to summarize the way I feel, the english language can't describe. I can only hope you've known how I feel all along, 'cuz nothing I could say is simple as a song. I could say I love you, but there's so much more I could do.

(Bridge)
I'm not the best at expressing, but this smile on my face, it won't leave you guessing.

Best Part of Me written by Wendy Jans
What if it's not complicated? What if it's just as plain as a la la la, a sip of a cup, a Saturday, don't wake me up. How bout we take a day off from wondering if it's love, Love? Let's lay around in my bed, pull the covers over our head.
You & me together, everything is better.
One thing is true....the best part of me, I'm certain is you.
Have you ever noticed the feeling you get from a kiss, kiss? It's weak in the knees & big as the sky, a ferris wheel, the fourth of July.

Wonder Wonder written by Wendy Jans
It's been too long to carry on like this. I should have forgotten your lips, your laugh, your fingertips. I don't know why you're on my mind, I can't explain.
All I do is wonder wonder
all I do is wonder about you
All I do is wonder wonder
all I do is think about you
Did I ever mean something to you?
I wonder if you wonder about me, too
Do you think about looking me up?
I wish you knew I wanted you to oh so much
All I do is wonder wonder
all I do is wonder about you
All I do is wonder wonder
all I do is think about you
Will I ever see you again? Would it, could it feel the same? I knew you so well, I just can't help, thinking you might feel it, too.

Deeper written by Wendy Jans & Mark Elliott
I don't want to feel ordinary, I don't want to touch forgetfully. I don't want to know you like I know everybody, like the second glance of a stranger on the street.
    I want to go deeper
    Under
the surface of the place we live
the walls that only close us in
    Desperate
    Reaching
where you start & where you end
I wanna feel you closer than just skin
    Deeper
I don't want to have idle conversation, or a kiss that doesn't stop me in my tracks. I used to be content with quiet reservation, but with your love I'm holding nothing back.

(bridge)
Beyond my joy & past my tears. Through these doubts & all my fears.

Today Again written by Wendy Jans
I wake up everyday to over-caffeinated voices talking on the radio. It's raining like yesterday, I stumble to the kitchen for my coffee & a piece of toast. It's always the same thing. The day got stuck, keeps playing the same refrain. The only saving grace is waking up & seeing your face.
I'd do it, I'd do it, I'd do it mmm again
I'd do it, I'd do it, I'd do it mmmm
over & over, you make it better
    Somehow you get me through
Another day my love, my lover
    Let's do today again together.
You grab me by the stove, put your arms around my waist & you say hold me, hold me tighter. I'm cranky, want to be alone, but eventually I'm laughing & give in like I always do, 'cuz I like the way you make me feel & you say my name, & every night as long as you're by my side loving me, tomorrow will be just fine.

(bridge)
The bed's gotta be made, the bills gotta be paid, same scene, routine drives me crazy. But then during the day, you call just to say I love you today again forever.

Feels Like Something written by Wendy Jans & Tim Jackson
Let's just lay here looking up into the mystic of a million stars. Painting pictures in the dark, let ourselves be small.
    It's a shame
    we can't stay here forever
    this moment together
You & I under the sky
    Doing nothing
    feels like something
Warm breeze whispers a lullaby. We've heard it coming for miles. So baby wake from your sleep. Pray the Lord your soul to keep.

What I Would Say written by Wendy Jans
Every time you turn around & start to leave, you smile & wave & you still don't realize what you do to me. I would stop you if I was brave, I'd pull you real tight - what I would say.
I'd say I love you I love you
I want you so bad I can taste these words on the tip of my tongue
I swear not a second goes by I don't think about you, am I crazy, am I the only one?
If you wonder why I'm so nervous, why I look at you that way
If you asked - that's what I would say
I can't go backwards to being just friends, but I can't bear the thought of this beginning becoming the end. If I could give this love away, what I would do baby, what I would say. Sometimes I think you feel the way I do. Oh, I would die to hear those words from you.

Already Know written by Wendy Jans
Ooo, all that I can think about is
you - something's got me wiggin' out
I'm in the mood, jonesin' for another taste, a touch, a smile
    one more day with you.
It's days like this, where the sun smiles high in the sky, not a single cloud, nothing to hide behind.
Ah, I'm wondering what you're doing right
now - are you thinking about the way that I
    smile when we are together
well I'm waiting won't you come on back around
How I miss a kiss so soft with innocence, to fall into bliss.
Oh, I can barely stand the thought of us
slow dancing with you holding me so
close, whispering that you love me
even if I already, already know

Sippin' on Summertime written by Wendy Jans & Matt Ramsey
Baby turn it up I can't believe I really heard that - the weatherman's forecast for 80 degrees. Let's drag the rockin' chairs out on to the front porch, fire up the tiki torch, kick back in bare feet. Sunshine is intoxicating, I could use a drink of what I've been craving.
    Honeysuckle margaritas
    Tan-line tequila
A saltwater breeze with a twist of lime
    Maybe make a little lemonade
Spike it with a little oak tree shade
Swaying in a hammock drinking up the wind chimes
Stick a paper umbrella in the sunshine
    Start sippin' on summertime
Floating down the James river real slow in an inner tube. World spins around me & you & it's ours for a while. Sun-soaked skin so close you can feel the heat. It washes over you & me, drifting for miles. Once the firefly night starts shining, we'll hit the town yeah, baby I'm buying.

(bridge)
Sunshine is intoxicating, we'll be buzzing, we'll be high every day.

Sunshine written by Wendy Jans
It's like sunshine thru a window
It's a soft breeze thru the screen door
Even when I'm driving aimlessly around & I'm lost in my own town. Even if it's midnight, sleep is nowhere in sight, I feel you wrapping around me like a blanket, I can't describe it, feels so safe & warm.
It's like sunshine thru a window
It's a soft breeze thru the screen door
It's like sunshine thru a window & I feel you everywhere I go
When I'm hanging with my friends I wanna tell you everything as soon as I get back home 'cuz everything I do reminds me of you & you know you are my best friend. I'm grooving on this feeling, feels so safe & warm.

Used to Be written by Wendy Jans & Tim Jackson
Things will always change, rarely stay the same, but I can't look at you & face the unfamiliar. You look better than you ever have. Is she the reason you're in this better place?
It used to be my hand in your hand
It used to be my voice on the other end of the line
It used to be my eyes taking in your smile
I always knew what made you happy
It used to be, used to be me
When you first wake up, say hello with the slightest touch - somebody else is seeing you in that same light. I'm not there to see but it's still vivid in my memory, being the one who feels your insecurity.
